Eastern Arc dish

Supporting DBSTalk.com and SatelliteGuys.US

The Eastern Arc dish, introduced at Team Summit 2008, is designed to pick up the 61.5°, 72.7° and 77° orbital slots. Programming other than locals will mirror that of the Western Arc of 110°, 119° and 129°, except that it will all be MPEG-4.  The new dish will be available Aug 20, 2008 in 21 select markets, more are flagged as (EA) on the HD Locals page.

• EA dish has new Azimuth Cam and Elevation Rod peaking adjustments for easier installation
• Peak on 72.7°
• For dishes installed before Nov 10, 2008 when 77° became active, re-running a Check Switch should not be needed as originally thought
• Uses the same mast and foot as the Dish 500+
• Channels available at 61.5°

Limitations

• Requires an MPEG-4 receiver (ViP series or 411) with the new G3 smart card (already present in receivers with a “Circle A” mark on the front)
• No Dish Latino or International channels
• Initially for NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY
